My father told me the measure of a person’s character is not when things are going well – it’s measured by how one responds when things are not going well. The global COVID-19 pandemic has tested the character of Panini. I’m proud to say our team has met the challenge and demonstrated character of incredible integrity, tenacity, and perseverance.
Panini Notes Blog
For the past month, I have been volunteering at my local animal shelter as a member of the dog walking team. I have a rescue dog myself, so this is my way of giving back and giving thanks for the amazing gift Harper (my dog) is to me.
I hear my mom talking to her friends from the living room… yikes she’s talking about me: “They (i.e. me and my family, or perhaps that could extend to my generation?) share everything, I don’t know how they do that, it’s so different from my times… they tend to trust people.” She would never trust a stranger using her home, while I often do.
It’s not new that guessing how future branches will look is the ultimate headache; I myself have heard countless times the expression “branch of the future”, and our main customer banks are themselves struggling to put together different customer needs.
The Coronavirus created an unprecedented disruption to businesses of all types and sizes. The way of conducting business has changed and those who have adapted are seeing success, while those who are unwilling, or unable, to change face an uncertain future. Coronavirus also had some interesting impacts on Panini’s business.
Life has certainly changed for many of us due to the social distancing environment requirements of COVID 19. I am proud to work for Panini
The importance of a company’s mission statement should not be underestimated. It clearly identifies for stakeholders what the company intends to do with its resources.
I’ve participated in more fraud-related webinars in the past 8 weeks than the total number of trade shows I have attended in the last 8 years. The countless number of webinars solidifies what we (Panini) already know about fraud; the data and growth rates are simply staggering.
Today it’s important for financial institutions to partner with an instant issuance provider that has an integrated platform and flexible launch options of either contactless or EMV. Panini’s Instant Issuing solutions provide a streamlined user platform with both payment technology platforms.
I know I'm "old school," but whatever happened to having REAL communications with the people you're attempting to develop relationships with (including your colleagues)?
I've been working from a home office at least part of the time for most of my career. I've found some things work well, and other things not so well - for me, at least. I've found that some roles are better suited to working from home, just as some people are (and some are not). With the urgent need for disciplined social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19, I thought I'd share a few tips I've accumulated over the years. Here goes, in no particular order!
All of us have stories like these as we’re forced to adjust our work and personal lives during this pandemic. Events are cancelled, personal contact is limited, sadness is looming, and disappointments are mounting; however the pandemic is also a catalyst for many positive opportunities – if we allow it to be.
Has it really been 125 days since I joined Panini? Time does fly when you’re having fun!
Panini, known for innovation and thought leadership, certainly has demonstrated those important industry roles. At a time when financial institutions are striving to leverage technology to reduce operating costs, to build infrastructure to reduce fraud and risk, and to plan for the next generation of banking, Panini met the need with very exciting technology and a suite of value-driving services. And I was lucky enough to be a part of it all!
This April will mark my first full year as the Channel Marketing Manager at Panini! It has been an exciting first year so far working with the Panini team and our partners as a part of this new chapter.
