EverneXt

The Panini EverneXt is conceived for check capture in the branch, at the teller, in back-office, or in transformed branches where the device is shared by roaming bankers in an open environment or branch lobby; it can also be suitable for high volume Remote Deposit Capture applications. It’s capable of accurately reading the magnetic (E13B, CMC7) or optical codelines of checks and other check-sized documents (e.g. payment slips, stubs, meal vouchers, lottery tickets and similar), and capturing their front and rear images, which can be used for check clearing in lieu of the physical document. This allows to leverage regulations on image-based check truncation in force in different markets, and to attain the related efficiencies and savings. The device is also capable of scanning ID cards, drivers licenses, and other rigid ISO ID-1 format documents.

The EverneXt captures front and rear images in greyscale, black & white or full color, up to 300 dpi, in various formats (BMP, TIFF G4, JPEG, GIF). When scanning an ID card, image resolution can reach 600 dpi, so that the image can be used for document authentication. Front and rear images are captured in a single pass (duplex) for both paper and rigid documents.

The scanner alerts you with an LED light and a display message when cleaning is needed. You can postpone or start cleaning right away by pressing a button. To clean, just insert the cleaning card—the scanner runs the sequence automatically.

The EverneXt’s autofeeder will hold up to 100 checks, and the unit has a (scalable) throughput of 100 or 160 documents per minute (dpm).

The pocket will hold up to 100 checks, in the order in which they were processed. An Exception pocket is also included, which can be used for document reject (e.g. in case of missing magnetic codeline) if the application is designed accordingly.

The EverneXt can optionally endorse the rear side of the check with a single line of text, using ink jet technology. As a more advanced option, an AGP (Advanced Graphics Printer) equipped EverneXt can endorse with up to four (AGP4) or fourteen (AGP14) lines, graphics, logos and signatures, and even fill in most fields of a check which is fed reversed (such as a cashiers’ check). The single line and AGP ink cartridges can be purchased on the Panini Online Store. In addition to physical endorsement, virtual endorsement can be applied to the rear check image, via software function.

When equipped with the AGP4 or – even better – the AGP14 optional printer, the EverneXt can print receipts on cut sheets, if the application is designed accordingly. Alternatively, Panini’s Stackable Thermal Printer fits comfortably underneath the EverneXt within the scanner’s footprint (dedicated USB and power cables required).

Thanks to Panini’s unique and patented Everest intelligent scanner architecture, the EverneXt can connect to a variety of hosts (PC, Mac, smartphone, tablet, POS terminal, and more) using different Operating Systems (MS Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, iOS, etc.) and with a number of interfaces (USB RNDIS, direct network connection via Ethernet or Wi-Fi) – ensuring unsurpassed flexibility and enabling a wide range of use cases. Wi-Fi connectivity requires an optional USB dongle.
Communication between host and scanner is carried out via HTTPS secure protocol, with no need to install and maintain APIs or drivers. The EverneXt in Hybrid configuration will instead work with any application written for the legacy Vision neXt scanner using Panini’s Vision API in MS Windows; Hybrid is scalable to HTTPS by applying a firmware upgrade key.

The EverneXt stands out for its sleek and modern European design, allowing higher performance and a wider range of capabilities than most check scanners on the market in an incredibly compact footprint.
Dimensions are 155 mm – 6.1” (width) x 227 mm – 8.9” (length) x 213 mm – 8.4” (height), and the weight is around 2.2 Kg – 4.85 lb.
