Extensive supply chain background added to Panini Leadership Team
Panini is pleased to announce that effective October 13, 2014 Pierfranco Pontrandolfo will join the company as Chief Operating Officer and will lead the company’s global supply chain operations including sourcing, production, and product development. Additional company operational areas including Information Technology and Human Resources will also report to Mr. Pontrandolfo. Panini is implementing this managed change to support and accelerate continued growth while extending its market leadership position.
Mr. Pontrandolfo is a highly successful and experienced senior operations executive with a well-established track record of achieving superior results in areas such as profitability, quality, and overall efficiency and his global supply chain experience includes markets such as the United States, Italy, China, Brazil, India, and Russia.
His previous roles include CEO of Feraboli SpA (Maschio-Gaspardo), Managing Director of Volpi SpA, CEO of Marposs/Metrel SpA, and General Manager / COO roles at Group Defond, AKKA Technologies Group, Viasystems, and Group Olear. Mr. Pontrandolfo’s vast experience in production operations, lean manufacturing, industrial process design, and total quality management systems will solidify and extend Panini’s renowned reputation for superior quality and breakthrough innovation. He will report directly to Panini’s CEO, Michael Pratt, who notes “The addition of an operations executive of this caliber will be instrumental to the growth strategies we have developed while reinforcing our total quality commitment to customers and partners.”
