Where can I download imaging or remote deposit software for my Panini check scanner?

Your bank or software vendor should provide the software necessary for your imaging or remote deposit. You may have to contact someone in your IT department or the bank’s IT department.

Where can I download drivers for my Panini check scanner?

Most MVX/VX software application providers or banks install the version of the MVX/VX drivers they require when they install their application software, or they provide a download link for the correct driver and API software version. You may have to contact someone in your IT department or the bank’s IT department.

What warranty/maintenance service plans are available with the Panini scanner?

All new VX and I:Deal scanners start with a 30 day out of box failure warranty. If a new scanner fails within the first 30 days of use, we will replace it with a new scanner of the same model at no charge to the customer.

The VX scanners also come with a 6 month warranty (including the 30 day out of box failure period) that provides free repair to any scanner that suffers a hardware failure.

The I:Deal scanners come with a 12 month warranty (including the 30 day out of box failure period) that provides free repair or replacement with a new or like new scanner.

Panini also offers a 1, 2 or 3 year maintenance plan on the MVX, VX and I:Deal models. A maintenance plan provides a replacement scanner for the defective scanner at an additional cost. Details can be found online at http://www.paniniportal.com/Catalog-Maintenance_1.aspx.

What Operating System is the Panini check scanner compatible with?

All of the Panini check scanner models will work with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 provided the customer’s software is compatible with the particular operating system.

My scanner model (MVX) has been discontinued, what is the new replacement model?

The current model equivalent to the My Vision X is the Vision X (VX). The VX is available in 50, 75 and 100 documents per minute. The feeder level can come in a single mode, up to 50 feeder (SF) or unlimited feeder mode (FF).

How can I check the configuration of my Panini check scanner?

We have a tool on our web portal that will read the id chip on the scanner and display the configuration.

  • Make sure the scanner in question is connected to your pc
  • Open your web browser (example: Internet Explorer or FireFox)
  • Go to http://www.paniniportal.com/configuration.aspx
  • You may receive a message to install an Add-on. Please run it.
  • Click the Get My Configuration button – a window requesting the color of your scanner will appear
  • Select the Scanner Color and close the color window

The configuration should fill in and you have the option of emailing the configuration to Panini.

How can I order Panini accessories?

You can apply a scanner upgrade or check the statistics on your scanner. You can even submit a Return Material Authorization form to start the repair process on your scanner.

Is my Panini check scanner compatible with Macs?

Not at this time, however, Panini is developing drivers for Mac users. There is no firm delivery date at this time.

What are the USB cable specifications on the Panini check scanner?

The preferred interface is USB 2.0. The interface is backward compatible with USB 1.1 but it will run at a much slower document per minute rate.
