Panini's Environmental Policy

Panini and the Environment

Panini works with unflagging commitment to the preservation and protection of the environment in compliance with international standards. The company’s goal is to make sure that all its activities meet the requirements of environmental sustainability, taking the same care in conservation and protection of natural resources as it does in all its activities.

Panini’s commitment to environmental protection is a process that starts internally—a real and constant effort, an integral part of the company mission, felt and pursued by all in order to:

  • Honor the right of its clients, partners and employees to live in a clean and healthy habitat;
  • Ensure that all company processes (production, distribution and administration) fully respect the requirements of sustainability and ecological compatibility;
  • Reinforce an internal culture committed to meeting our environmental responsibilities.

Eco-compatible Design

At Panini, the environment is regarded as one of the most important resources to safeguard. The company takes practical measures to meet client needs with solutions for the management of payments that will fully satisfy their needs, including the possibility of working with the most ecological and environmentally safe tools.

As part of its commitment to eco-compatibility, the company has accepted the challenge of a radical shift, beginning with the design of its machines: the environmental impact of its products is determined in the conception phase and is considered equal to all the other variables taken into consideration during design.

The main goals of this “green” design are:

  • Energy efficiency of the product’s operation
  • Radical reduction in the number of components and the quantity of materials used in the device in order to facilitate recyclability at the end of the product life cycle.
  • Maximum attention to the use of recyclable materials, and the possibility of easier recovery and/or upgrading of products and materials used
  • Complete compliance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive regarding limits in the use of substances determined to be hazardous in the production of electrical and electronic devices

Not Just “Green Design”

Panini’s “green” challenge doesn’t stop with conception and design. All internal activities are studied and assessed carefully in order to achieve, maintain and improve the environmental standards attained with the ISO 14001 certification.

Thanks to ever increasing vigilance of all Panini employees, the consumption of water, gas, electricity and paper are decreasing, also thanks to continuous efforts to improve company infrastructure and efficiency.

Additionally, in the area of logistics, we are constantly pursuing the objective of using solutions with less environmental impact for both product packaging and transport, in cooperation with partner companies.
