Panini North America Expands Services and Facilities
Dayton, Ohio (January 10, 2006) – Panini North America, a subsidiary of Panini S.p.A., is now offering an Advanced Unit Exchange (AUE) Program for their industry leading check scanning solution, the Panini My Vision X™. This new program supplements and extends Panini’s existing Depot Repair Program. In addition, the company has expanded their facilities in Dayton, Ohio and hired contract staff to provide service, repair, and fulfillment capabilities.
Panini’s Depot Repair Program is a service offered for all My Vision X™ check scanners. With this program, customers send their My Vision X scanner directly to Panini North America, where it undergoes a rigorous inspection and repair process. Once repaired, the unit is extensively tested with the Panini “My Demo” program and sent back to the customer. The entire process can be completed in as little as one day.
Leveraging the success of the Depot Repair Program, Panini is pleased to announce the availability of a new Advanced Unit Exchange (AUE) Service. With this new service, Panini North America will maintain an inventory of My Vision X units for customers. Before a customer sends a unit for repair, a unit from their inventory will be delivered to them. When the unit requiring repair arrives at Panini, it goes through the depot repair process and is then assigned to the customer’s inventory. Customers are finding this service to be advantageous because it maximizes inventory availability while minimizing any potential system downtime.
“We’re committed to providing our customers with world-class professional services,” says Dave Youngerman, president, Panini North America. “We understand the critical
importance of supplementing our industry leading check scanning solutions with services that maximize the effectiveness of our products in each customer’s environment.”
In order to accommodate the rapid growth of Panini North America, the company has recently expanded their facilities and hired contract staff. The expanded facilities triple the company’s warehouse space, and double the amount of office space to support current and future expansion. The contract staff resources are utilized to assist with staging units, performing system upgrades, and product fulfillment from the depot repair center.
The Panini My Vision X™, a compact, yet powerful check scanner, reads the check MICR line and captures a high quality, digital image of the front and back of the check. The small footprint, sleek design, and quiet operation of the device allow for easy placement at the branch or in the corporate office location. Over the past year, Panini North America has sold over 40,000 My Vision X scanners.
